The Perfect Eye

Eyes
Health and Safety:
Before doing anything you must take the health and safety steps.
Wash your hands, its always best to carry hand sanitizer in your kit.
Look for signs of skin infections, if they have any do not proceed in doing the make up.
Ask if they suffer from any allergies, so you can know which products you can and can’t use.
When working do not double dip, always scrape and work from the back of your hand.

Kit:
Kryolan Brillinat Colour Medley
Foundation Palette
Comouflage Palette
Mascara
Brushes
Sticky Tape
Baby Buds

Application:
1. Prep the skin by cleansing and toning. Use a primer and apply a base. Top Tip If you are creating a dark eyeshadow look, complete the eye before applying a base. If your model doesn’t wear contact lenses, apply a large amount of loose powder under the eye to collect any fall out so you don’t have to re apply the base. To create a good base on the eye, powder first but only if you are using powder products. Lifting the brow to remove any creases lift at the brow.
 2. decide on the shape of the eye to decide on the technique- Use Eye Shape Sheet
3. Beginning with the lighter tones (as it is easier to use the same brush from light to dark) scrape a small amount onto the back of your hand. Hold the models head high and pull the skin upwards to keep taut. To avoid smudging use a powder puff or tissue as a guard. Keep the look symmetrical by apply the same thing to each eye before moving onto the next. Check in the mirror frequently to analyse what you’ve done.
4. build up the colours by working into the eyes. Add darker tones to create depth using a rounded brush to blend.
5. To create a perfect eye line, apply sticky tape to the outer corner of the eye at the desired angle. Make sure this is symmetrical. Scrape the colour onto the back of your hand. You can use a normal eye liner or can create a liner by mixing powder products with water. If using powder, wet the brush to dampen the powder so it glides across the skin and creates a bolder colour.
6. To finish, using a new disposable mascara wand every time you dip, apply mascara. To do this, get the model to look down, and stroke onto the lashes, making sure you get to the root. Make left and right movements with your hands, and make sure you coat the top and bottom.

7. Finally clean up the look by wiping off the powder under the eye and use a cotton bud to get off any mascara smudges, and your eyes are complete.
