Contouring

Step 1-
Apply the matt Primer with a foundation to get an even base.
Using Illamasqua skin base in white and a foundation brush, highlight the jaw, cheekbone, forehead, nose and chin and buff into the skin. Use a small brush to work the colour around the eye and narrower areas.
Step 2-
Contouring with powder
First set the makeup with the loose powder. Use the length of the powder brush to dab or smooth the product into the skin. Always blend into the hairline.
Step 3-
Using a highlighter and small flat brush, highlight the top of the cheekbones and blend out with your finger. Press in powder to set.
NOTE- if using cream products, skip the powder. You can use matte, powdered and cream products to contour and highlight.
Step 4- with a dark shade, contour under the cheekbone, build up the colour with darker tones. Use a bigger, puffy brush for blending. Use the same technique under the jawline. With a smaller brush you can contour the inner nose towards the eyebrow. From the outer corner of the eye out to the hairline.
NOTE- change this contour depending on the expression you want. i.e. working under the eyebrow will be an angrier look.
You can also contour around the mouth for instance under the lower lip.
Step 5-
As a finishing touch you can use highlighting products, this goes on the cheekbone.
On my own attempt I found tat the pale base didn’t go very smoothly on because I have a combination skin, and some parts of my face are very dry. Therefore if I did this again I would mix my primer with the foundation. I also would of blended the contour out and used more highlight on the cheekbone, nose and cupids bow. I do like the contouring of the neck and nose for my first attempt.
